But tonight is the Hot Sauce so things just might turn around! It should be an awesome evening! Lesbian parties have never been my cup of tea but I’m guessing that this lesbian summer party just might be the one not to miss. For those who don’t have their tickets yet, you can get them online at www.hotsaucemtl.com. I don’t know what to expect but good music and a sexy women can’t be a bad combination.
Aside from that, summer vacations are going pretty well! Charlotte (new scooter) is a charm, the weather isn’t too bad, friends are awesome and my inner-saviour isn’t overloading too much with everyone else’s problems. Sometimes I think I should have been a
shrink. I think I would have been a pretty good one at that but like everything else in life knowledge is one thing… putting it into action is quite another story. As a teacher, I try to have my students develop competencies (knowledge put into action!) and it is quite the challenge but I try to remember that developing competencies isn’t only something you develop in school. Every hardship in our lives is another opportunity to develop a competency (whether it is acceptance, letting go or taking charge of a particular situation). Life is a school of its own, with its masters and pupils, everyday homework, long term goals and final tests. And in the end, you certainly reap what you sow. Had you asked me if I believed in such a proverb a few years ago, I wouldn’t have thought much of it really but as time went by I have come to notice such an effect in people’s lives around me. And some think that being there for others is enough to enjoy a good and peaceful life. However, I believe that giving starts from within. Love yourself the way you would love others. Be kind to yourself as you would to others. Be honest with yourself as you would with others… It is sad to see how little some people sow, and they wonder why life sucks.
But enough about this serious crap! It’s time to party! I hope I’ll run into all of you at the Hot Sauce party tonight! Have a few drinks too many, have fun and enjoy the view but please, DON’T DRINK & DRIVE!!!
